Overview
The Yukon, located in northwest Canada, is blessed with some of the finest wilderness canoeing rivers in the world. It has everything from the grandeur of the broad Yukon River Valley with its easy carefree pleasures to the challenging rapids and spectacular northern mountain scenery of the Snake River. The Yukon has a river for every skill level, budget or schedule. The rivers receive relatively little pressure from tourism, so you can expect an experience that is filled with wilderness solitude, opportunities to see wildlife and a sense of isolation from the busy, modern world.
Cabin Fever Adventures is a family-based business that is more about providing its owners with an outdoor lifestyle and its clients with a first-rate wilderness experience than it is about trying to make their riches. It is owned and operated by Dustin and Brook Davis, a dynamic, educated and adventurous couple in their thirties. Dustin and Brook have one young son named Shale, three dogs, a cat, and a cabin in the middle of the Yukon forest on the shores of a small lake. They choose to live their life “off the grid”, generating their own electricity, have no running water, and take baths with a sponge in the winter and by a dip in the lake in the summer. They love it! At times living at the end of a winding 14-kilometer dirt road has its challenges, but the peace and tranquility Dustin, Brook, and their family experience at Cabin Lake is worth the extra work. They bring the authenticity of wilderness living to every one of their experiences. If you want to experience something different when you travel, then you need to meet and learn about people who are living differently.
Services Dustin and Brook are wilderness people. They live in the woods, play in the mountains, and relax on a river with a paddle in hand and the wind in their faces. This is a lifestyle as much as a company. They are professionals at what they do, designing wilderness experiences with the same care an engineer takes in designing a bridge, and the same passion an artist summons as they approach their canvas. Canoeing, hiking, sea kayaking, cycling, and fishing... these are the branches of the company and being in the Yukon’s amazing wilderness is what roots all these experiences in a common passion.
Mission Statement Cabin Fever Adventures strives to provide its clients with an authentic, safe, enjoyable, and sustainable wilderness experiences in the Yukon, Northern British Columbia, and Southeast Alaska. They aim to exceed the expectations of clients on every trip. Cabin Fever Adventures does not strive for satisfied customers: they strive for elated customers.
Environmental Philosophy At Cabin Fever Adventures, they don’t believe they can protect the planet by simply saying that they love wilderness and that they strive to protect wild places. Of course they love the wilderness, but the bigger question is does the day-to-day operation of the company demonstrate this commitment? At Cabin Fever Adventures, they strive to be the Yukon’s industry leader in promoting a earth-friendly business model. They actively engage the company in the preservation of not only the wilderness here in the Yukon, but consider the company an economic vehicle to affect positive change around the planet.
Cabin Fever Adventures’ Earth-Friendly initiatives are based on following simple beliefs: - One person’s happiness cannot be built at the expense of others.
- One person can change the world through doing things differently, consistently.
- The needs of the earth’s natural systems are the basis for all sound economic decisions when judged over the long-term.

Amazing Food The owner of Cabin Fever Adventures has a reputation from when he worked as a guide for other companies. That reputation is the amazing quality of food on his trips. This focus on great meals is carried forward into Cabin Fever Adventures, not only by excellent menu planning, but also by the quality of ingredients and careful environmental implications of the ingredients used. Not only will your meals taste amazing, you’ll be helping to contribute to a healthier planet.
Cabin Fever Adventures Provides an Organic and Fair Trade Menu Cabin Fever Adventures’ food menu is as close to 100% organic as possible and they support several Fair Trade organizations through their food purchases as well, such as their coffee and sugar.
