   Overview

Canadian Border Outfitters sits on the shores of Moose Lake, the doorway to over two million acres of protected wilderness. Located in the center of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and Quetico Provincial Park, Canadian Border Outfitters provides easy access to a variety of high adventure entry points, canoe routes, and world renowned fishing lakes.

The Canadian Border Outfitters experience begins with Personal Trip Planners that guide each group through planning a wilderness experience that meets individual needs. Professional routers map out routes that include the latest fishing reports as well as scenic and wildlife side trips.

On arrival at Canadian Border Outfitters, guests are greeted by a view of the lake and the call of the loon. The Cookshack provides hot meals for the hungry traveler and the bunkhouses and motel units provide beds for the night before and after trips. The docks provide a great place for watching sunsets and viewing the Northern Lights.

One of the largest inventories of canoes and gear offers each canoeist the highest quality and latest advances in wilderness outfitting. High Adventure Travelers have the advantage of Wenonah Kevlar, Bell Kevlar, and Souris River Kevlar for lightweight, fast moving canoes. Gear includes guide tested equipment that meets the toughest challenge. The more relaxed paddler enjoys base camping gear with comforts of home. Food Pack provides as directed by personal menus.

The virtual campsite provides onsite training by professionals on the use of equipment and wilderness ethics. Novices can arrive the afternoon before the trip to receive instruction and practice in the use and care of gear as well as test paddling canoes.

The knowledgeable staff represents over 90 years of combined wilderness expertise. As the Voyageurs quest was to explore and discover the treasures of the wilderness, so the goal of Canadian Border Outfitters is to assist those who hear the call to discover the wild within themselves.
