Overview

Dream it! Do it! With ROW - Idaho's friendliest canoeing and rafting company. Since 1979 ROW has taken folks of all ages on their expertly guided wilderness adventures. Whether you're looking for a short get-away or a week of escape, ROW has the best trips you'll find.

If you've never been canoeing, you've missed the greatest vacation ever. Imagine a vacation where everything is taken care of while you immerse yourself in the excitement of the wilderness and history of the area. See amazing wildlife such as otter, bear, elk, moose, eagles and falcons. Visit ancient Indian rock art sites and pioneer homesteads. Soak under the stars in a wilderness hot spring. The incredible variety of a wilderness canoeing trip makes it something that people of all ages, from all walks of life treasure and enjoy.

ROW provides the best in personal service and luxurious "safari-style" camps are set up by ROW’s expert guides who also serve up gourmet food. All gear is provided and on the river you’ll have your choice of craft, depending on previous canoeing experience.

In addition to fabulous canoeing and rafting trips, ROW offers raft-supported hikes where you carry only a day pack. International trips offered include guided yachting trips along Turkey's Mediterranean coast, whitewater rafting the headwaters of the Amazon in Ecuador and barging in France.

ROW strongly believes that the more you understand about the world around you, the more you’ll appreciate it. Consequently, interpretation is an important part of what they do. They try to unlock the mysteries of nature. Identify a flying duck at a hundred yards. Spin a good yarn around the campfire. Learning these skills is a never-ending process, so when they’re not guiding, they take courses in natural and cultural history, wilderness medicine and river rescue. They read books. Some of them take guitar lessons. They share with each other. They do this to make your trip more than just a float down the river. Whatever your interest may be, they’ll be tuned in, and if you’re curious about something, they hope they can shed some light on the subject. In the end, the skills they have to offer are just part of what you’ll experience on a vacation with ROW. The rivers, mountains, animals and plants will give you their own gift. So please give them a call. They’d like to tell you more about their trips, themselves, and their approach. And most of all, they hope you’ll join them... to share their lives and the places they love.
