Welcome to Temagami, land of the Ancient Old Growth Forest, and home to the most extensive fresh water canoe trips network in the world. This canoeing network, also known as the "Nastawgan" by its ancient inhabitants, enables travelers to explore over 1,490 miles (2,400 kms) of interconnected lakes and rivers in a spectacular wilderness area.
Temagami Outfitting Co. is located on the waterfront in the town of Temagami. Its facility houses an expedition store, accommodations and waterfront cafe. Let Temagami Outfitting Co. be your guide for a journey into the mystical Nastawgan. Temagami Outfitting specializes in guided adventures with the newest lightweight tripping canoes and camping equipment available to enhance your journey of discovery and experience of a lifetime.
Temagami Outfitting’s canoe rental fleet is comprised of a large inventory of lightweight Kevlar and durable ABS whitewater canoes in traditional and contemporary designs. The Temagami Expedition Shop offers a broad range of top of the line tekwear and outdoor clothing, paddling gear and camping equipment, wilderness books and area topographic maps.
As a start or end point, the Outfitting facility in Temagami allows visitors the opportunity to see local attractions such as the Old Fire Tower, Train Station and the White Bear Forest. The train and bus stations are a two minute walk from the front door and if you are driving North on Highway 11 you will see the building from across the northeast arm of Lake Temagami as you drive into town.
