Overview

Wilderness Spirit History
Established in 1996, Wilderness Spirit Adventures' continued success has everything to do with the extra steps that they go to make sure that your trip is hassle free. Their guides have paddled down Manitobas rivers many many times and are fully certified Wilderness First Responders and Swiftwater Rescue technicians, ensuring you have the highest level of professional expertise available. But they know how to have fun as well! Access to a satellite phone is possible if you should need to phone home for whatever reason and the equipment that they use includes top of the line expedition quality canoes and tents.

Wilderness Spirit Philosophy
With Wilderness Spirit Adventures you get more than you expect. Trips not only include the opportunity to view wildlife in its natural habitat such as polar bears, moose, caribou, beluga whales, musk oxen and numerous birds of prey, but the added benefit of cultural and historical events after your trip down river is complete. For example, on the Bloodvein River trips you will be included in a First Nations sweat lodge ceremony of purification. At the end of the Seal River trip, Wilderness Spirit guests are treated to whale watching at the Churchill River estuary where 3,000 beluga whales spend their summers. In Baker Lake, Nunavut, cultural and walking tours are included at the end of your trip down the Thelon River.

Manitoba and Nunavut have it all for you - true wilderness, remote, untouched rivers without the hustle and bustle of other canoeing areas. No competing for campsites or lineups at portages, just an authentic wilderness experience.

Join Wilderness Spirit Adventures soon for a one-of-a-kind canoeing experience.
